Pokemon X and Y - Fire Starter: Fennekin



Lol like... a quick doodle/speedpaint before going to sleep. Must've taken me about 1 hour.
I decided to jump on the bandwagon and join the Pokemon Gen6 fandom, because I feared else I'd some time start to hate it for all the hype... which would be a shame. :c

Actually I really wanted to draw Xerneas as I really love that Legendary... but the pictures that are out till now aren't really the best of references. And I'm quite a loser in drawing things without proper references...
So instead I decided to draw the only starter I actually like (until now), which is obviously... Fennekin! ♥ Although I could slap the German translaters right into their faces for the crappy name they gave it: Fynx. What does it have to do with a lynx? D8 ARGH!
Either way... enjoy! I'm late for bed... 5 and a half hours left to sleep... ''orz

It does sound nice, of course, I really like it, too. But this Pokemon has absolutely nothing to do with a lynx... so that's plain nonsense.. :/

Thats true but, If you want my opinion. I have always thought of pokemon as different creatures altogether, not having anything to do with real animals. I know that many are based off of real animals, but I consider names relating to the species kind of cheesy and unoriginal. Such as Crabby, Seel, Rattata, and Girafarig.

Fennickin is a little bit better, but I prefer the names that have no resemblance whatsoever, like Lugia, Pikachu, Zoura, etc.
